Catford's first ever Fringe Festival is arriving in town this week (Monday 4th- Sunday 10th June), transforming the South London hub into a mini-Edinburgh with a bustling calendar of arts, theatre and culture events.
The Broadway Theatre is hosting the festival, with over 30 events planned. On Monday evening a screening of cutting edge UK and International Short Films will satisfy any movie buffs, whilst Shakespeare-lovers are in for a treat with BoxLit's two-man production of Romeo and Juliet.
On Saturday, Theatre Tots arrive in Catford for a selection of child-friendly events. Join Ruby the Rabbit at 11am as she follows her dream to venture into space, or at 3:30 meet Laura James, local author and Bev Wilson, local illustrator to devise, write and illustrate your own story!
Catford Constitutional Club are also getting involved with the fun, with their fundraiser festival Catfest from 8th- 10th June. A weekend of music, arts and craft promises to provide endless entertainment, all to raise money for Amnesty International.
