Recent statistics released by the Department of Communities and Local Government show that over 320,000 people have been helped onto the property ladder with Help to Buy, while over one million Help to Buy ISAs have been opened.
Ideal for first time buyers, the first phase of new homes at Excalibur are due to launch this autumn, offering 18 one and two bedroom apartments, all of which will offer London Help to Buy*.
Through the scheme, purchasers are required to raise a 5% deposit, taking out a government-backed equity loan of up to 40% of the cost of a new build home. This loan will remain interest free for the first five years, with a 55% mortgage making up the remainder.
Forming part of a multi-phase regeneration project, this new development will bring over 140 private sale homes to Catford, an area where new homes remain remarkably rare. Shared Ownership will also be available at Excalibur.
These new properties are finished to a high specification, with each stylish apartment benefitting from a private balcony. The light filled, open plan kitchen/living/dining areas incorporate fully fitted kitchens, complete with cashmere grey units and ‘Cinnamon’ laminated worktops, plus a comprehensive range of fully integrated appliances, including dishwasher and washing machine. Bathrooms have stylish feature grey porcelain tiling and bespoke mirror units.
Catford town centre is currently undergoing a multimillion pound regeneration programme, which includes the redevelopment of Catford Shopping Centre to create retail and community space for all. For arts lovers, Catford boasts the active Broadway Theatre and the historic Rivoli Ballroom, London’s last remaining example of an existing 1950s ballroom.
Travelling into central London is also easy from Excalibur with both Catford and Catford Bridge National Rail stations just a short bus journey away. These stations offer fast services direct to Central London, allowing commuters to reach London Bridge in just 12 minutes.
Prices for the first release at Excalibur will start from £320,000 for a one bedroom apartment, and £405,000 for a two bedroom home.
The first phase of Shared Ownership homes are due to launch in late 2017/early 2018. To register your interest in Shared Ownership at Excalibur, please visit our PricedIn website.
